[…] An adventure, with lucidity and risk, in which there are, at the same time, accuracy and control. A controlled adventure, poetry was for Claudio a process and not a result: the no man’s land between the conscious and the unconscious from where an innocent clarity emerges. “In poetry -he explains- what is known is acting within the poem” and “the process of poetic knowledge does not lie outside the words in the poem”, but within them and within it. This process transcends the expression and saves the reality and the matter, because it elevates them to a plane in which they are clearer, cleaner, and purer.
